9/11 Memorial Tour
7/29, 10/11
$70

Our step on tour guide will take our group to the newly opened National September 11 Memorial consisting of 2 enormous waterfalls cascading into reflecting pools situated on the footprints of the original towers of the World Trade Center. The names of the victims are displayed on bronze panels surrounding each of the waterfalls. Also on site are the new World Trade Center buildings, still under construction, including 1 World Trade Center, now over 75 stories tall and slated to be the tallest building in New York again. Once leaving the memorial, visit historic St. Paul's Chapel, built in 1766. Miraculously, the church, just across the street from the World Trade Center, sustained no damage when the towers fell and for years was used to house and feed the workers searching for victims in the rubble of the fallen buildings. Also nearby, visit the FDNY Memorial Wall dedicated to the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on September 11 and the Eleven Tears Memorial in the American Express Building. After this 3 hour memorial tour is complete the group will have time on their own to explore more of NYC. We will depart the city from Bryant Park at 6:00pm
